These fact sheets are designed to tell local communities how much they can each contribute towards mitigating climate change. This can be through, first, reducing emissions and, second, by drawing down more carbon into their lands. On one side of the fact sheet, the total current emissions, broken down by industry sector, are given. Alongside, the emissions reductions obtainable by, for example, a 10% switch to roof-top solar or electric vehicles are laid out in an easy-read format. On the other side of the fact sheet, the extra carbon able to be retained or captured through changes in forest and agricultural management are shown. There is one fact sheet for each of the 14 Local Government Areas in the South East. By comparing these, local communities can see what they can especially contribute towards a net zero future.
